It’s prop betting time and I couldn’t be more excited about this years game…  I believe every season there’s some benjamins to be made on prop bets, and there are some crazy ones this year as usual.  Over SIX BILLION dollars will be bet on this game, which makes it easily the most bet upon game in the history of the world.  The spectacle that is the Super Bowl is truly amazing.  Many will just stick to betting the game out come, which ranges from NEW ENGLAND -1.5 to -3.  Currently the majority of the money is going on New England, which makes sense, but that spread is way close for comfort.  There are professional gamblers that wait for this game all season, because they want to make pour their bankroll into as many prop bets as possible, with the expectation of winning hundreds of thousands of dollars.  It’s basically a pick em’ at this point so if you are putting money on the Ram, you really are picking them to upset the Patriots out right. I can’t cover the over 1000 prop bets but there are several prop bets I want put analysis to, so let’s take a look.

The Patriots will record more first downs than the Rams at -110

I don’t see how this doesn’t happen… forget that the Rams had more first downs this season…  New England’s shift to the power running game, and possession domination makes this one a no brainer.

No pass interference in the end zone, no penalties in the end zone, no tackles at the one yard?  You are playing with fire if you think none of these things will happen, especially with both teams featuring stout running games.

It hasn’t happened in 8 straight SB appearances, and I wouldn’t be on it happening for a 9th straight game… however I wouldn’t blame you if you did… the way the Patriots have been moving the ball, I can see this happening.

I’m taking the under here – two FGs is what is realistic here.

Total rushing yards for the Rams at 127.5 at – 110

If you think the Patriots win the game, take the under.  If not take the over.  Rams don’t win without big games from Gurley and C.J. Anderson.

Will the first kick by Stephen Gostkowski result in a touchback YES +180

NO -220

His first kick is getting run back. Both Belichick and McVay want this to happen.

Total Fumbles lost by both teams at 1.5  OVER +110 UNDER -200

Remember it’s fumbles lost – not fumbles…. The grand total will be one, take the under. These teams can protect the football.

Will team score in final 3:30 of the game YES -170 NO +145

Yes – this happens too much in close games, and this will be a close game.

The longest scoring TD will be over 49.5 yards NO -110

This is only a gamble because you are saying there will be no kick off return TDs.  The Patriots bend but don’t break style doesn’t lend to a lot of big scoring plays AND the Patriots are going to inch their way up the field on every drive.
